Gallery - Nancy's & Janice's Quilts
|
The following pictures show some of our personal Hawaiian
Quilts, which we thought you might enjoy seeing. Patterns are not available for
these quilts. In keeping with the tradition of Hawaiian quilts, each of these
are
our unique, personal designs. Check back occasionally as we will 'hang' a new quilt show
from time to time.
We supply pictures of our quilts for your enjoyment.
While
we would be flattered if our quilts inspire you to design your own, PLEASE do
not attempt to make copies of our designs. These are offered in the Spirit of
Aloha and are very personal to us. Mahalo.

Ulu III
by Nancy Lee Chong
Look closely...you'll see that the basis of
this quilt is the "Ulu" block which is one of our
Tropical
III patterns. Nancy cut it from a larger
piece of fabric and then used the leaf as a template to cut the border detail.
The same needle-turn appliqué provided the simple border image. The dark brown
fabric was appliquéd in one piece on the tan background.

Ulu II
by Nancy Lee Chong
You guessed it! This quilt started with the
"Ulu" block which is one of our
Tropical
II patterns, placed 'on point' on a larger piece
of fabric. The leaf from the pattern was used again to design an effective
border. The dark brown was appliquéd on the tan, this time in two pieces...one
for the center medallion & one for the border.
