The beauty of hand-dyed fabrics is in the wonderful variation in
visual textures and tones with no two pieces being exactly alike.

- Janice uses fiber reactive dyes, making the fabrics color-fast.

Orchid Oasis Fabric Pack
1-1/4 yard of hand-dyed orange for the orchid applique and 1-3/4 yard of
hand-dyed deep blue for the background. This is enough fabric to complete the top of the Orchid
Oasis quilt (similar to the one you see here) and bind the quilt with the dark blue fabric.
Receive one free spool of Aurifil thread for the applique when you purchase the fabric

Sea Turtles & Dolphins Fabric Pack
1-3/4 yard of hand-dyed deep blue for the applique and 1-3/4 yard of
hand-dyed lighter blue for the background. This is enough fabric to
complete the top of the Sea Turtles & Dolphins quilt (similar to the one
you see here) and bind the quilt with either fabric, and have a bit left

you want one, the best thing to do is place a Special Order, below. |
Make this quilt using just one 2-yard
piece of fabric. Use one 15" wide length for the background, then flip
the remaining fabric for the contrasting applique.

 Here are just a few samples to give you an idea of what I can make to your specifications. Let me know what you have in mind!

Special orders generally require a phone call or an
e-mail, Info@prqc.com. Describe, as best you can, what you have in mind.
Price generally will be $22.00 per yard, unless you have something outrageous in mind...then
we'll negotiate! Any quantities...one yard on up.
Wide-width fabrics are also available for wholecloth quilts or Hawaiian
quilts. If you can imagine it...we'll try to produce it!
We will try to accommodate special orders in 1-2 weeks, but depending upon
what you are looking for, it could be 3-6 weeks.

We do recommend that you test
hand-dyed fabrics for colorfastness in your water before using.
After being dyed, Janice rinses the fabrics in hot water (between 125
and 140 degrees) with Synthrapol. However, one of the things every dyer, and
the dyeing books, talk about is the different ways the dyes respond in different waters
(different chemicals, minerals, etc.). As every quilter knows,
some commercial fabrics bleed and run, others do not. You are likely to have similar
experiences with any hand-dyed fabrics. Be safe. TEST.
If you do experience problems try two things.
- Use cold water.
- Wash with Synthrapol once or twice, following the instructions on the bottle.
