 Lino print fabrics

The photos below show approximately a 25" square of each piece

These gorgeous fabrics are sun printed in South Africa using eco friendly dyes.
The name Langa Lapu is a Xhosa derivation meaning Sun Cloth.
Each fabric is a unique creation, and because it is produced with the wind and sun, can never be exactly reproduced.

Recommended fabric care:  hand wash, cool to warm water.

Remember that computer screens vary and the colors you are viewing may not be exactly accurate.

Langa Lapu Lino Print Fabrics

After sun printing the fabric a linoleum (lino) block with carved images
is used to apply a secondary image over the dyed fabric.
